It was apparent from industry analysis that the pet sector lacks maturity, offers substandard customer experience, and has little or no differentiation in service offerings across brands. A discussion with Michelle’s stakeholders revealed that they have extensive knowledge of various breeds and their behavioral patterns and adaptability requirements. Voila! We had the differentiating factor – “We map the right dog to the right home”. The brand evolved around this thought with the logo showing the silhouette of a dog against a home. All communication that followed reemphasized this fact.
Michelle’s Pet Shop soon gained the reputation of an upmarket, knowledgeable, and trusted pet store for those who really care about their pets.
